I only did Thursday and Saturday at Aftershock this year and it makes me wonder how I ever did all 4 days. Man, I am TIRED.
My cousin Tony came by with his truck this morning to help me out so I decided to post this one today for him- Anthrax is one of his favorite bands. I am still puzzled as to why Anthrax, one of the “big 4” of Thrash, is playing a 45 minute set at 4:15 in the afternoon. Slayer headlined Thursday… and Anthrax headlined (or was 2nd billed) on Thursday in 2021. They even got the shaft on stage configuration- they were playing right into the sun. Brutal. They were still great and it clearly didn’t seem to bother them.
This is the only set that I used the ZS70 for- it is an inferior camera to the ZS200, but it has a way better zoom and with the stage being so bright, I figured it was the right choice and I was right about that. The sound in the spot that I initially set up in was awful- not only was it overly bassy/muddy but I heard a lot of high end swirl as well. keep in mind that this audio is AFTER I eq’d a lot of the bass out of the low end. I moved to a better sounding spot about 20min in and it sounds a lot better from then on.
8 song greatest hits set. Everyone I talked to about it loved them.
