Here is David Garibaldi’s performance at #CIP2016 yesterday. It was really great to see it in person. We almost did not make it due to traffic, but got there about 2 minutes before he went on. My daughter loves art and was amazed! She was right up front.

OK everyone, tell me if I talk too much. I went to the fair with my family this night and left at 11:30 and stopped by the Blue Lamp to see if I had a chance to catch any of Slapshot’s set. I get there at 11:45m and they are going on at 12. I start setting up my cameras, and they start playing after I get the one on the pool table running… so that is why you only get 1 camera for the first few minutes. Then I fumble around in the dark, next to a very active pit, trying to set up camera #2 but I finally got it done. The band was a lot better than I expected- very catchy songs (I had not heard them before). I also bought an awesome motorhead themed shirt “everything angrier than anything else”. Typical Blue Lamp lighting challenges but it turned out great thanks to Agelos’ edit work. Enjoy!

Here is City Mouse’s set fromt he show last month. Great pop-punk with VERY strong vocals. Check it out. If you have not been to a show at the cafe, you need to get on it. It’s a great scene. Thanks to Joe Mckinney for putting on the show. Filmed with my G30 w/rode on a monopod, G30 on a monopod and a G10. Jim McLain filmed with his camera (R500?) and he did the editing. Audio recorded with the DPA mics & mixed with other audio sources by Jim. Thanks Jim!

I have seen Dead Dads more than 5 times- I have lost track- and this was the best I have ever seen them. Be sure to check them out on August 30th at the Colony- Lys is leaving for Georgia soon and you need to see this band before she goes! Filmed with my G30 w/rode on a monopod, G30 on a monopod and a G10. Jim McLain filmed with his camera (R500?) and he did the editing. I’ve been wanting to see Jesus & the Dinosaurs for a while now, ever since Lee Osh was raving about them last year. They did not disappoint- the drummer is the most animated I have ever seen. This was definitely a fun band to watch.

Here is CHRCH’s set from Friday. It was a free show (celebration for Patrick Hill’s Earth Tone Studios) and a ton of people came out. It was a huge party. I am glad I brought my ear plugs. Killer cover of “Black Sabbath” to close the set
