Guitar God Mike Farrell plays “Double Agent” and “Mirage, Mirage”, at his Sacramento debut performance on October 23, 2009 at the Blue Lamp. Special Guest Steve Vanoni on Sax for “Double Agent”, reliving earlier days with Sex66 to our delight. And “Mirage Mirage” shows off the multi-instrumentalist talents of the lovely Liani Moore, playing guitar, keyboard and violin all on the same song. Local faves Mike Curry on drums and Shawn Hale on bass complete this group of veteran musicians.

Special thanks to Adam Wolfe for help on camera. This is an audio/video upgrade of earlier postings from this set.
I am really surprised that this was never posted. Great quality Kai Kln show with soundboard audio from Anonymous 2’s collection.

I am late again and I still have 1 more post to go today! This one is from Anonymous 2’s collection of tapes. His collection is about 95% demos and a few other things like this.
From what I can find, this seems to be from a 2007 show at Harlow’s. Kai Kln’s DV tape was in there as well and this is the only evidence that I can find of them playing together at Harlow’s. Corrections welcome as always.
It sounds like this camera was lined right into the soundboard- it sounds pretty nice.
Oh, and Triclops are an American, San Francisco and Oakland-based acid punk/progressive rock band, formed in 2005. Triclops! includes members of noted bay area bands Victim’s Family, Fleshies, Bottles and Skulls, and Lower Forty-Eight. The band went on hiatus in 2010 following the release of their second full-length LP.
EDIT: I figured out that this (and the Kai Kln post from today are from 10/17/09)

Oh man, today is going to be one hell of a mess at Aftershock. I hope everyone is cool and doesn’t throw mud. If I get hit in the head/hat with a mud ball, I am going to freak the hell out. Plus, walking in the slick mud with a fractured wrist is gonna be a GREAT time… Protect this old man if you see me. Haha.
This On This Date in History is another one from Joah Parten’s box of MiniDV master tapes. I remember that Josh had more Dv tapes that he wanted me to transfer but we never got to them. If anyone has his tapes and wants me to continue with the archiving/memorial, please reach out. I’ll do ’em, distorted audio and all.
