Teenage Fanclub- Irving Plaza, NYC 2/19/94 Proshot from Japanese TV 1st Gen VHS FULL SHOW Pyramid

It’s the weekend! That means that you all get moving pictures with sound from me, rather than just audio only.
I am surprised that the full show isn’t on YT yet. There is a 20min clip up, but not the entire Japanese TV broadcast. Includes a 10min tour of NYC clubs (Knitting Factory, Pyramid etc) at the start along with an interview with TFC.
This is GREAT stuff- proshot full show of the band at their peak!

Sleep- W.O.W. Hall, Eugene OR 2/18/94 xfer from master videotape enhanced Matt Pike WOW

Here’s a short one for you today, but it is pretty damn awesome. Here is a 7 minute clip that Craig Babb filmed of Sleep opening for Hawkwind back in 1994. This one was super dark so I brightened and fixed up the exposure before denoising. It sounds pretty good as well! Thanks Craig!

Firehose- Warner Grand Theater, San Pedro Ca. 2/12/94 xfer from DAT Master Aud Recording Nak CM300

I was planning on posting something different today, but I listened to this last night and realized that today is the anniversary of this show. So we heard through the grapevine(the only way to hear about stuff like this back then) that fIREHOSE were playing their last show ever at a place that was never on the radar for shows..
So I show up and there is hardly anyone there. The place is massive, so they just had everyone come on stage with them and they set up sideways on the stage- meaning they were on one end of the stage, facing the side stage area on the opposite side. It was a very odd experience.
The show was odd as well. It was a bit tense- you can hear Watt stop Ed at one point and ask him to slow it down, since it is the last show. The sound is not great- playing sideways in a huge theater causes a lot of sound issues.
I am surprised that no one has posted anything from this show. There were multiple tapers and video cameras there.
So, yeah, fIREHOSE broke up 27 years ago today.
