Red Aunts- Concert Cafe,Green Bay Wi 9/30/95 xfer f/Master VHS Tape Sympathy for the Record Industry

It’s a video for today’s On This Date in History, and another one from Jason Ross’ collection. I am pretty sure that he filmed this one as well.
The Red Aunts set is only about 30min, but I somehow messed this disc up and there is almost an hour of extra stuff afterwards that is probably marked on the tape, but not documented here. Whoops!

Here is one from Jason Ross’ collection for today’s On This Date in History. It works out great since Bisy Backson started in Sacramento. I also posted a Bisy Backson demo from Anonymous 1’s collection last month, in case you are dying for more of this

Fifteen- Columbus Club, Appleton Wi. 9/6/95 xfer from VHS Master enhanced live Jeff Ott Crimpshrine

Here is the next show I realized that I had digitized already, when organizing spindles. This one was taped by Jason Ross, and it fell into my hands when he gifted me his collection a few years back. Thanks again, Jason!
With this one, I was able to enhance it quite a bit. It was SUPER dark and I cranked the brightness and exposure, and the neat video plugin did a nice job with reducing all of the noise that ensued.

Wilco- H.O.R.D.E. Festival, CSDH, Dominguez Hills Ca 9/2/95 DAT Soundboard Master Black Crowes

For the last 25 years or so, I have been part of an online group of friends called Postcard from Hell (or Postcard for short). It started as a discussion board for Uncle Tupelo, but has become a network of a few hundred people who have now known each other forever. I am not too active on the list, more of a lurker, but I have met many people in person and made a lot of friends.

A few Postcarders went to Cancun for the Sky Blue Sky fest happening now. Postcarder Rob and his wife Crystal were in a very serious car accident down there- Rob is in ICU now. I can’t stop thinking about them and pulling for their well-being. Since they were there to see Wilco (and others), I thought I would start pulling some tapes from when I taped Wilco back in the mid-90s. Here they are at the Horde fest, with Black Crowes guesting on a couple of songs!
Please get better and come home soon, Rob and Crystal.

I don’t know if Rob is in any condition to listen to these, but I can do an all-Wilco week if it helps make the hospital stay better.
