The O’Mulligans also played their first show in a couple years last Saturday. It was nice to see them back. They have new songs! If you haven’t heard it, you need to pick up their misfits cover EP on bandcamp- good stuff.

So EVERYTHING went wrong during the O’Mulligans’ set. The power went off to David’s amp, the PA went out at least twice… a lesser band would have crumbled. They rose to the occasion- they were entertaining throughout and the last song (he hate me) was HILARIOUS. So, a must-watch if you know the band, probably not the best intro to them though. Pick another video for that ๐

Time to get caught up on posting master videos.
The O’Mulligans opened the Radolescents show last Wed. Good set and a slew of newer songs sung by Jeff to start the show.

A couple of different music scenes came together last night to play a benefit for the Blue Lamp. It was cool to see hip hop and punk scenes together in one venue- the schedule had one hip hop act, then one punk act. The O’Mulligans played and the hip hop crowd was “meh”…. UNTIL the last song “She Hate Me” and everyone- especially the hip hop guys got on their feet and started cheering. Definitely the coolest spontaneous musical moment of the year so far.
Hi Everyone, So I recently said that I was going to only post “Colon Complex” As Craig so eloquently puts it) on a new patreon page.. but then Joe asked me to post Danny Secretion Band and I want to post D.I. in memory of Jay.. so I think I will continue to post local band’s stuff for all to see since it is free promotion (or free demotion if you suck live. HA! Just kidding). I have 8,000 tapes over here so we can figure out something else to post to the Patreon channel. ๐ Speaking of supporting your local scene, The Colony/Colonial guys held a fest in May and NO ONE CAME. I was one of a small handful of people who paid to get in. Here is the O’Mulligans’ set from that fest. If you want these venues to stick around, you gotta show up. I’m an old man with 2 young kids and a demanding tech job and I still make it out… c’mon!
I was gone for a week so there were no posts, but I’m back and continuing with the scrubbing of older lists of recordings and posting stuff I missed.
What an awful week it has been. The fire in Paradise has been unreal- please give your time, money or supplies to help. I think all of us know at least someone who has been affected.
Here is a video of The O’mulligans at the Colony from early last year. The Colony is closing and their big final blowout is this weekend, so please show up. I’ll be there Saturday!

Here is the O’Mulligans’ set from Blue Lamp, opening for the Mr T Experience last year. They are one of the best pop punk bands in town- check them out if you have not done so already. They just released a CD called “meh” and are up for a sammie award. Filmed with 2 Canon HFG30 and a Canon HFG10. Audio from the rode video pro stereo mic.

Here is The O’Mulligan’s set from last week. Great show and it sounds and looks great. Little tents coming in a bit- we need to put the soundboard and my mic audio together.
