The Haints- Capitol Bowl, West Sacramento Ca. 4/27/07 Audio recording DPA AT mics Groovie Ghoulies

This might be the last Haints show ever. I checked concert archives, and the last show on there is the 3/17/07 show I posted on Sunday. It sounds great- anonymous did a nice job with these sets. Fun fact- Kepi announced this show at the Shaker’s show, but he said it was at Javalounge. It must have been moved for some reason.
Kepi mentions Alyssa on drums for the first song, then Scampi (Nora) after 1 or 2 songs. Lys, did you make a Special Guest Star appearance?

Haints- Shaker’s Pub, Citrus Heights Ca. 3/17/07 Groovie Ghoulies side project!

Man, I loved the Haints as much as the Ghoulies. I only got to see them play once. It was at a massive cluster-f St. Patricks Day party at a bar in Citrus Heights. Odd venue but a great set. Taped with a pro mini-DV camcorder (Panasonic AGDVC30) but the nice mic I used (Shure VP-88) had a custom cable wired incorrectly by Sweetwater. Beware of Sweetwater, y’all.

The Haints- Shaker’s Pub, Citrus Heights Ca. 3/17/07 Enhanced with DPA Mic Audio Groovie Ghoulies

I have been meaning to fix this one up for a while. Since it was St. Patrick’s day, the club decided to make the lights on the band ALL GREEN which I am sure seemed funny at the time, but did not make for good video. The audio in the original version was lacking since I was behind the PA, plus I was using the mic that was wired wrong. Luckily my best friend Anonymous was there with his (now MY) DPA 4061 mic rig so it sounds much better too.
This was my last time seeing the 3 groovie ghoulies perform together. It makes me a little sad to see this, but thankful to have seen them so much… plus this Haints set is awesome.
Anonymous also recorded The Haints’ set a month later at Capitol Bowl in West Sacramento.
