Capitol Punishment- 924 Gilman, Berkeley Ca 10/13/90 xfer f/Master audio tape rebalanced Fresno Punk

It should be OK to fire off 2 posts, back-to-back.. right? They are different enough. I don’t see many hardcore “watching videos on youtube” fans of dino jr AND these guys…

This one is from Radley’s collection and I know he told me that he doesn’t care for rebalancing in Izotope, but vocals were super buried on this one. I pushed it up a lot and they are still buried! The rest of the mix kicks ass.

Yes, I am doing Radley’s stuff alphabetically. It’s easier to keep track.

Capitol Punishment- 924 Gilman, Berkeley Ca 6/16/90 xfer Master Soundboard tape Fresno Punk Hardcore

aw man, I hate it when I post really good stuff so late. I worry that it will get lost overnight and nobody will pay attention.

Now that I have hit the “2x” button on all of these collections posts, I decided to just do Radley’s stuff in alphabetical order. Most of the ones that Radley binder’d are pretty much perfect soundboard mixes and this one is no exception. I didn’t need to do a thing to it- it sounds fantastic! Thanks Radley!

Capitol Punishment- 924 Gilman, Berkeley Ca 5/30/87 xfer f/master VHS Tape enhanced Fresno Punk Pt.2

Chris Eng taped this one back in 87. When I went over to his house to pick through videos, we found part 2 of the show, but pt1 still needs to be found. Since this is a good sized chunk of the show, I figured it was worth posting. I will repost if we find the rest. There might be a board tape to synch as well. Someday…

Capitol Punishment- 924 Gilman, Berkeley Ca 1/2/87 xfer from low gen audio cassette Fresno Punk

Collections post, from Wayne Vanderkuil’s boxes of tapes. We can’t figure out who taped this, it might have come from Chris Dodge.. but this was from Gilman’s opening weekend and it sounds really good. Like, pro walkman or quality boombox recording. I wonder if Radley brought some mics to record.

The first 4 months of Gilman had no flyers or calendar. Tim’s vision was that the place would be a place to be, and there would be no need to advertise. I don’t think many people showed up because I have a tape of Condemned Attitude/Attitude where Andy makes fun of the concept. Hence the opening weekend generic flyer here.
