I am still working through video masters from last May… but right after posting that MDC On Broadway earlier today, this popped up on my facebook feed. We have a NEW contributor to the Sac Music Archive! Scott Schiller and Chuck (Jonemery) Dodds have started to record the excellent Morgan’s Mill shows in Woodland. I really appreciate them- these guys do a weekly segment on the Sac Music Archive on their KDRT show called “That California Sound” on Monday evenings, so they have been supporting us for a while.
Mike Blanchard and Vinny Montoya played the Mill last weekend. These 2 guys have been playing together for over 30 years- first in the Tattooed Love Dogs in the 1990s, then in Mike Blanchard and the Californios more recently.

It’s time for another collections post from new contributor Scott Schiller. Scott and Jonemery (Chuck) Dodds are promoting a new series of shows in the Davis/Woodland area. It looks like they started at Morgan’s Mill in Woodland and they are now doing some stuff at Watermelon Music in Davis, but I saw another show at the Mill in March. Go follow left of the dial promotions if that is your jam, as the kids say.
This show took place about a month ago with Kevin and Alex. Almost 2 hours of song swaps and stories. It’s a bit dynamic, so turn it up.
