Mad Judy came out of retirement to play Cory’s birthday show- and they were the best I had ever seen them! Maybe they should not play for a year, have 1 practice, then play more shows because this was killer! Even though they went on at midnight and were the 6th of 6 bands, the crowd went nuts. I was tired so I did not go nuts. I stood there and filmed.

The band finally gave the OK to post this one. I think they were afraid that the awesome “don’t fear the reaper” cover may break the internet. Seriously, the last 2 Mad Judy shows were not complete- this one was missing Audrey (Jeff Hollandsworth did a nice job filling in though) and the one last night was missing Jordan. Still a fun show.

Ken’s Birthday Bash & Cafe Colonial’s Grand Opening.
Mad Judy was the first band to play, and it was about 100 degrees and the “stage” was in the direct sunlight. I felt bad for them, so I went up and started spraying them with a water mist bottle, hitting guitars and microphones. I’m such a dork. Their set consisted of mainly (all? can’t remember) Replacements covers. Thanks Joe McKinney Audrey Motzer and the rest of the previously thanked folks.

Here is that time that Mad Judy drank a bunch of sangria and played some replacements songs for Danny Secretion’s cancer benefit. Joe Mickinney crack alert. Also, who drinks a lot of sangria? It’s like saying “boy, I really want a hangover tomorrow”. 🙂 Just kidding you guys. Great show.
