Here is the Iguanadon set from the Distillery show. I could not fund much online about them, but thanks to the collective knowledge of the group, I’ve learned that this is Skinner Davis’ (well known artist originally from Auburn) band, and they were from Sac.

Here’s another gen from Charles Albright’s collection. Man, the distillery had some insane lineups for the size of that place. This one is not too bad for the lighting and the age of the video. I tried to shoot there once- it was not an easy place to film.

Here is the last band from the 5/3/08 show. White Wizzard has gone on to get pretty popular now, 10 years later. They probably don’t play tiny bars with no stages anymore. 🙂

This was a memorable show. The Distillery is TINY and it was completely packed for this show. There was a scheduling problem- someone booked 4 opening bands and by the time NR got on stage, they ahd to cut the set short. Bummer. They said that this show felt like the old days when they played small clubs in chicago. Filmed with the Panasonic Pro AG-DVC30 camera and Shure VP-88 mic (which was wired incorrectly by my friends at Sweetwater). Jim Mclain made a nice audio recording of this show, we should add that audio to this video.

OK, this one kinda kills me. I had no idea that this show happened. I was travelling to China A LOT back in the 2007/08 time frame, but I think I was in town at the time. Oh well, I did catch the 2006 show and it should be posted at some point. HUGE props to Kirk Janowiak for making it to the show and filming. The Distillery was a notoriously difficult place to film in.

Oh man, this is classic. The Megacools play the distillery in the freezing cold, and Christine’s mom and brother are out on the sidewalk, since Patrick isn’t 21 yet. Man, he is such a kid here.
