Victims Family- Warfield, San Francisco Ca. 2/8/20 4K UHD Live Victim’s

Here’s Victims Family’s opening set for the Mr. Bungle show. I got word that I got a ticket a few hours before the show, and after some back and forth with security, I made it into the venue about 10min before VF started playing. It was really strange to see VF play in such a large venue. I am seen them many (20?) times in small clubs.

Mr. Bungle- Warfield, San Francisco Ca. 2/8/20 Live 4K UHD Live Video Scott Ian Mike Patton Lombardo

Here is a first look at the Mr. Bungle show from last Saturday night. I need to recover another 5-10 minutes of the show (including my favorite song of the set, The Crumbsuckers’ Sit There), plus I need to degrain it and hopefully find a better audio source to synch to it. Stay tuned. Regardlerss, this turned out pretty damned nice. I LOVE the ZS200.
So I went into this with no expectations. I figured they’d play the demo and a few covers as a goof and be done. I did NOT expect for my face to be completely melted off. What an amazing show- you MUST GO if you have the opportunity. Trey is a beast on lead guitar, Lombardo is (imho) the best metal drummer ever, and it was obvious they were all having a blast. Scott never stopped smiling!
I was able to cut down on the amount of out of focus shots by turning on continuous AF, but I realized it was eating batteries like crazy so I had to shut it off for the last 15-20 min.
MVP of the night includes the person who got me tickets (you know who you are- thanks!) and Daniel Hague, who not only gave up his spot to me so I could film, but he also stood in the merch line so I could get a shirt! Thank you so much.

Mr. Bungle- The Warfield, San Francisco Ca. 2/8/20 4k UHD Live w/Improved Excellent Audio

Thanks to audio taper Jamie Lutch, we now have really nice Mr. Bungle audio for the 2/8/20 show that I filmed. For the past month-plus, we have been hard at work getting this audio to synch with the video- it would not cooperate. Huge thanks to Tromster for working so long and hard to make this synch, and to Jamie for taping the show!

Camper Van Beethoven- The Warfield, San Francisco Ca. 5/15/04 VIDEO w/Soundboard Audio

Man, I cannot remember for the life of me how the band was able to get me into the warfield with my video camera, and they also gave me soundboard access. I wonder if their (super cool) soundman did that for me. Anyway, I am super thankful because the video and audio turned out great. This was a special 21st anniversary show, so EVERYONE was there- Molla, Immergluck, and all the regulars. Except Bill, Bill was not there.

Luna- Warfield, San Francisco Ca 3/19/93 xfer from DAT Master Audience Galaxie 500 Nakamichi CM300

I didn’t have much time to play around with remixing this one (5 hours of meetings before noon!)- this is totally flat right off the DAT. The bass is a little boomy, but sounds pretty decent for a recording from the balcony.

The Sundays- Warfield, San Francisco Ca 3/19/93 xfer from DAT Master Audience Nakamichi CM300

Here is the Sundays headlining set from that Luna warfield show. To be honest, I went to the show to see Luna, but The Sundays sounded great live. I was able to remix this one a bit in Sony Soundforge to take a bit of the bass boominess out and touch up the midrange a little.
Recorded from the front of the balcony.,

Corrosion of Conformity- The Warfield, San Francisco Ca. 7/28/90 Audio only xfer Sony D6 Master Tape

Here’s a recording from the last time I saw C.O.C. They were playing a huge venue, opening for Soundgarden and Danzig. I got there late and did not recognize many/any? of the songs. I got the last 20min of the set.

Accept- Warfield, San Francisco Ca 4/17/84 xfer from master cassette tape U.D.O. Heavy Metal

Another one from Tour Manager Doug today. This is the other show that was related to a great personal memory. I saw this tour the next night (in San Jose)- it was the first time that we ever went out of town for a concert. I was so excited to see Accept- they were one of my favorite bands and this was my first time seeing them. I went nuts, annoying the hell out of everyone around me during their set. I was also a big Saxon fan, but Accept were #1 in my book.
This one is unfortunately incomplete. Doug mentioned that he went to the San Jose show (for Accept only, then over to the Stone for Megadeth– what a time to be alive) AND the Santa Rosa show, so we might see those posts in the future. I still have vivid memories of Udo up there with those fingerless gloves on. Haha.
