Fear Gods. – Bowery Electric, New York City 11/4/22 4K UHD Single Cam Version Jack Adrenalin OD

I was organizing the 1TB worth of footage that I shot from last weekend and this one angle turned out good enough to post right away. This is Jack Steeples from AOD’s new band which includes members of Ruth Ruth, Headwound, Blisters and more. Give them a listen- they are very good. I shot 5 angles (this is one of them) and recorded 3 high quality audio sources (this is not one of them), so a full edit is coming someday.
Since I was orchestrating 7 different recording machines, it took me a couple minutes to adjust levels on this one. It gets better after about 3min.

Incendiary Device- Bowery Electric, New York NY 11/4/22 4K UHD Master w/Soundboard Audio Drew Stone

Posting 11 days of videos- here is day 1:
I traveled to New York/New Jersey last month to see 2 AOD shows. This band I had never heard of were opening, so I decided to save battery and memory card space and only film with 1 camera. Well, that was a mistake because these guys ripped and they featured Antidote vocalist and film producer/NYHC Chronicles host etc Drew Stone. Also featured my old friend from The Undead Tristan D’Graves. At least I was able to get the board mix (which had NO guitar all night) to rebalance to sound reasonably well.

Equipment used: Canon HFG60 (video), Sony PCM-M10 through soundboard
Rebalance in Izotope RX8 (cranked guitar and bass)
Audio/Video synch in pluraleye 4.0

Fear Gods.- Bowery Electric, New York City 11/4/22 4K UHD Multicam with Matrix Audio Adrenalin O.D.

I posted the Fear Gods. show from Dingbatz a couple months back and put this one in the FIFO queue because the audio was not good in the club that night- there was no guitar anywhere. Not in the board mix, Not in the 2 audience sources I had… but I was able to take Jim McLain’s 3 source matrix and pop it into Izotope and it found a little guitar to boost. Audio is actually good now!
Man, I love this band. Great classic punk sound. They have a couple of songs that are total earworms that I end up singing along to for days after. One is early in the set, another is at 10:40. Check it out. They also have a 7″ and CD out.

Adrenalin O.D.- Bowery Electric, New York NY 11/4/22 4K UHD Multicam with Matrix Audio AOD A.O.D.

Happy Friday! It’s turning out to be a good day. Here’s the first night of the 2 day “tour” to promote the release of the great book “if it’s tuesday, this must be Walla Walla- the wacky history of Adrenalin O.D.”
We held off on doing this one because of the audio- I don’t know what the deal was, but there is no guitar anywhere in the club or soundboard mix. It gets better about midway through when Keith Hartel hits the stage and Jack moves from bass to guitar. Also, I thought I found a good place for the drum gopro, and a cymbal cut the view of Dave’s head off. Some people might say that’s a good thing, but we left it out of the video edit. So, 4 camera with suspect audio. Best we could do.

I think I rebalanced this one in Izotope Rx8 in a deperate attempt to find guitar in the mix

76% Uncertain- Bowery Electric, New York City 10/23/15 Multicam with Soundboard Audio

Here’s the 76% Uncertain set from the Bowery. I somehow managed to delete my audience recording of the show, so the audio is soundboard only. It still sounds great. Recorded with 2 Canon HFG10 and 1 Canon HFG30. Thanks to Agelos for the edit work and to Jason Ellis for the remix of the soundboard. Thanks to all the bands for permission to video.

Adrenalin O.D.- Bowery Electric, New York City 10/23/15 Multicamera with Matrix Audio!

This show made the trip to the east coast (and staying in DB central The Jane Hotel) totally worth it. Be sure to watch the entire thing so you can see the Pit Chicken, “The Bass Player” downing Bruce’s beer, and the shower of bills hitting the stage (and bruce picking them up as he played). The show totally exceeded my expectations. Thanks to Agelos for the excellent edit- this one was hard because the camera on the side of the stage was obstructed at times, and then shut off about halfway through. Thanks to Jason Ellis for the Soundboard/Audience matrix work. Thanks to Joe Vincent for supplying his footage (sorry we could not use it). Thanks to Bowery Electric for letting me film, even though there was nowhere to put cameras in there. Finally, thanks to the band. Filmed with 2 Canon HFG10 and 1 Canon HFG30 on a monopod. Audio source- Soundboard + DPA4061 mics.

Adrenalin O.D.- Bowery Electric, New York City 10/23/15 Part 1 Single Camera Version

We shot a 3 camera video of this show with soundboard/audience matrixed audio, but I checked out this raw footage last night and I thought it was suitable to post as is. I will post the multicamera one when it is done. What a show! Masterpiece performed 2x for money, and the threat of a third! Pit Chicken! And much more. It was one of the most entertaining shows I have seen in a long time. Filmed with a Canon HFG30 and internal microphone.

Point Blank- Bowery Electric, New York City 10/23/15 Multicam with Matrix Audio

Point Blank was the first band to play the AOD show back in October. When you have a band of this quality and pedigree (Danny Derella from Underdog) kicking off the night, you know it’s going to be a good show. The soundboard audio starts off a little shaky on this one, but improves greatly a few songs in. Enjoy! Thanks to the band for allowing me to video, to Agelos for his excellent as usual editing and Jason Ellis for the audio matrix work.

Mental Abuse- Bowery Electric, New York City 10/23/15 Multicamera with Matrix Audio

Here’s the Mental Abuse set opening for AOD. They sounded tight and really great. I just wish I could find a copy of their LP for less than $150. This one is only 2 cameras. I swear I turned the side stage camera on, but when I checked it at the end of the set, it was powered off. It’s still good. For Todd W. Thanks to Agelos for all of these great edits and to Jason Ellis for the nice audio matrix work. Filmed with 1 Canon HFG10(Tripod) and 1 HFG30 (monopod with zooms). Soundsboard + DPA4061 audience mic matrix.
