The Knockoffs- Cafe Colonial, Sacramento Ca. 1/25/20 4K UHD Live Video with Improved Matrix Audio

Welp, I wrote a somewhat long intro to this video in reference to our current events.. but I just erased it. Please take care of yourselves, love and watch out for one another. This is all so tragic.

Anyway, here is a new version of a video I posted a few months ago. My good friend “Anonymous” took soundboard audio and matrixed it with his schoeps microphone recording. The result is far superior than my room mic. And it’s one of the best bands in town, The Knockoffs!

Gimme An F- Cafe Colonial, Sacramento Ca. 1/25/20 Multicam Live with Matrix Audio Kevin Seconds

Today’s post is a good one- here is Gimme an F’s debut show at Cafe Colonial! Actually, it might have been their only show before the pandemic hit. It never ceases to amaze me that Kevin can write an entire new set of songs for a new project. It seems like he does it about once a year- last year was Unsteady Heights, and now Gimme an F.

Field Day- Cafe Colonial, Sacramento Ca. 1/25/20 Multicamera Live video with Matrix Audio Dag Nasty

So many thanks are in order for this one. Thanks to Doug & the band for allowing me to video. Thanks to Sean Hills for bringing the band to town. Thanks to “Anonymous” for taping from the audience and doing the matrix/compression work. Thanks to Agelos(Tromster) for the edit… and finally thanks to the band again for doing some final touch-ups to the audio. Thanks everyone.
Also, my apologies to anyone who was there and had to endure my delirious over-caffeinated ramblings after being up for 36hrs due to a business trip.

Gimme an F- Cafe Colonial, Sacramento Ca. 1/25/20 4k Live UHD Kevin Seconds

Warning- the first 4 minutes of this video is “not as good” audio. This DSLR does not allow for most adjustments while it is operating, and I happened to plug my mic into the jack after I turned the camera on… I fix it about 45 minutes in and it sounds a lot better.
It’s Kevin Seconds’ new band, accompanied with the rhythm section of Your Friends! It just amazes me that Kevin can continue to write so many songs. This entire set is newly written songs, just for this band. There’s even a hardcore one for the 7 seconds fans.

The Knockoffs- Cafe Colonial, Sacramento Ca. 1/25/20 Lumix GH5S 4K UHD Live Punk w/Rode Audio

I was so happy to see that The Knockoffs, one of my all time favorite Sacramento bands, were added to the Field Day show. They played a short(for them) 30 minute set packed with all of their hits. I sang myself hoarse between this set and Field Day.
