The O’Mulligans- Colonial Theater, Sacramento 5/27/17 Multicam with Rode VPS Audio!

Hi Everyone, So I recently said that I was going to only post “Colon Complex” As Craig so eloquently puts it) on a new patreon page.. but then Joe asked me to post Danny Secretion Band and I want to post D.I. in memory of Jay.. so I think I will continue to post local band’s stuff for all to see since it is free promotion (or free demotion if you suck live. HA! Just kidding). I have 8,000 tapes over here so we can figure out something else to post to the Patreon channel. 🙂 Speaking of supporting your local scene, The Colony/Colonial guys held a fest in May and NO ONE CAME. I was one of a small handful of people who paid to get in. Here is the O’Mulligans’ set from that fest. If you want these venues to stick around, you gotta show up. I’m an old man with 2 young kids and a demanding tech job and I still make it out… c’mon!

Dead Dads- Colonial Theater, Sacramento Ca. 5/27/17 Multicam

Here is Dead Dads’ last show, I think. They played that Colonial Fest that not enough people showed up to (support your scene folks).
I almost didn’t get this one edited, because I set the gopro up in a hurry and it is positioned in a way that Lys’ head is a cymbal. Ugh- the gopro was new, I was still learning.

Crude Studs- Self Titled Cassette Album/Demo 2017 xfer from master cassette

Big thanks to Dal at Phono Select for giving me this tape to post- he might have more for sale at the shop. You should go shop there- best record store around!
I wanted to get this posted in honor of Bobby Khan. I was not close friends with him, but he was always super cool to me. He was always up for talking about the old Clear & Distinct metal shows. It’s still shocking that he is gone- I never knew he had any health issues. Be nice, you never know what people are dealing with.

The Strange Party- The Stag Bar, Woodland Ca. 5/12/17 Part 1 Canon HFG30 Rode VPS nic

After the captain 9’s set, I hit I-5 and got to the STrange Party show just in time. The Stag is such a unique venue. It does not have your usual rock crowd. Everyone in town shows up. This time around, I saw 2 bikers, an elderly woman (70+?), and a bunch of locals at the bar. Always a unique vibe at the stag. So I really wanted to catch Strange Party with Lys on drums, so I was glad this show was a late one. What a set. With the addition of the new bass player, Justin has switched to guitar which has taken the band to a whole new level.

Captain 9’s and the Knickerbocker Trio- Cafe Colonial, Sacramento 5/12/17 Canon HFG30 Part 1

Here is the Captain 9’s set from last night. What a fun night- I had daddy duty until about 9:30. I left and got to the venue right as Captain 9’s were setting up. Good show, and they learned an audience request (Fireman Stomp) on the spot for an encore! My battery dies, so you don’t get to see how it ends. As soon as they finished, I hopped in the car and got to woodland in time to see the Strange Party
