Quasi- Ivy Room, Albany Ca. 2/25/23 4K UHD video with Rode Videomic pro stereo Sleater Kinney

For all of you who are on the fence about going to the Quasi show at Starlet room tonight, you need to go. They have an excellent new album out, and they are weeks into a national tour. They are firing on all cylinders at this point. If you are unaware of them, I am posting the video from last night. It was sold out and packed and I could not find Sam before the show, so this one is 1 camera only.
The set consists of all Organ/Drums songs, which are my favorite. Quasi has not been to Sac since 2004, so you need to come see this!
This one is still uploading at the time that I wrote this, so it may not be rendered to 4k when I post. It will, takes YT some time with a file of this size.

Desario- Starlet Room, Sacramento Ca 9/30/22 4K UHD Multicam with Matrix Audio

My old friends Desario put out a new album called Signal and Noise last year on Fort Lowell Records. Here is a multicam of the album release show. John and Mike from the band go WAY back as friends- we were in the punk band CCR back in the 80’s together, and John introduced himself to me at Roseville High School in 1984 because I was wearing a sleeveless black T-Shirt with a Manowar back patch sewn on the back. PSA: Don’t ever do that- your back sweats like hell.
Anyway, enjoy the show. Looks nice and sounds great thanks to Anonymous.

Negativland- Starlet Room, Sacramento 9/18/21 Master Recording with DPA 4061 mics Live

I had trouble getting out of the house (kids, I tell ya) and I got to the show at about a quarter after 8. Negativland was ALREADY ON! Sh*t. I was told that I did not miss much of the set- I caught the last 45min. Wow, what a great show. I encourage anyone even remotely interested to go see this show. The visual show along with this soundtrack was really cool.
At the end of the show, I went to talk to my friends Vinny and Sherman and looked down at my PCM-M10 and it had shut off. I don’t know why- I think the batteries that I had in there since before the pandemic(and showed full) pooped the bed. So I get home and I see that I got the complete end of the show- great! I try to EQ it and the file is corrupt due to the power drop. I had to jump through hoops (huge thanks to youtube tutorials) to un-corrupt it. First world pandemic problems.
It sounds pretty good. I should have stood in the center of the venue rather than next to 1 PA speaker- I did not know it was going to be a stereo mix. Very cool.
Thanks to Brian McKenna for continuing to bring great and risky (promoting wise) acts to town.
