I am checking the view stats for Sac Music Archive and I have to say, not enough people are checking out these Christ on Parade shows. I’ll just keep posting them until you see the light, or one of them gets at least 100 views…
This is an xfer from Eric Mcintire’s master tape of this show. I didn’t know (or remember) that this was a master tape until he reminded me yesterday! The mix was super vocal heavy, but it gets better after about 15min. As a general rule, I based my board remixes on the last half of the show, as the board mix tends to stabilize then. So the first part might be less than perfect, as this one is. I boosted guitar and bass(and decreased vocal) as much as I could to this mix without making it sound weird.

Here’s another show by Alex Chilton, from a small club in Hamburg. I have more AC coming up. This one seems to be the first half of the set only. We can’t identify a track, so if anyone has any idea, please let me know.

I wore this recording out when I got it from George Norton back in 1986. This and the AOD set from this broadcast were both great. Bruce and Dave, what is the background on this one? Did White Flag just jump in on your guys’ equipment and play before heading to the airport to go to Europe. This definitely has a similar guitar tone to the AOD set.

First of all, please don’t expect much with the quality of this recording. This was before we bought the pro walkmen and DAT recorders… but it is one of the only Gravelgut recordings I am aware of. This show is so awesome. 13 minute set! The band that went on right before (or after, can’t remember) taunted the crowd, and you can hear Chris politely thanking Stew Katz for allowing local bands on shows like this. Troy Tausch’s drum sound is huge on this show. I hope you enjoy despite the quality. For Troy, Ken Legee, and all of the rest of the rocklin/roseville gang. Recorded by Mark Martin with a panasonic cassette recorder.
This was a memorable show. Anthrax cancelled and Exodus played an extra-long set as the headliner, which was awesome! When they played these long sets in early 86, they sometimes whip out some of the pre-LP stuff (like Hell’s Breath). I was managing one of the opening bands at the time- Rigor Mortis. Matt Polish went up and started to taunt the audience, and I remember a huge wave of people running up to the stage wanting a piece of Matt.
