I had not seen the Meat Puppets in over 20 years, and I had not been keeping up on the recent live shows so I did not know what to expect. Well, I was pleasantly surprised. What a show! I heard from someone after that there was some tour frustration and that anger came out in the show.. Maybe someone should piss Curt off more often. 🙂 . Filmed with 1 HFG30, 2 HFG10, and 1 HFM500, Edited by Jim McLain- thanks! Thanks to Brian McKenna and Abstract Entertainment for bringing bands like this to town.

Here are the Croissants opening for The Adolescents at the Boardwalk. Good, entertaining set. They have a single out now- check them out at a local venue.

What a great show- stagedivers, crowd surfers and lots of pogo’ing. I thought that this performance was a bit better than Davis the night before. The place was packed and there was no decent place to video from, and multi cameras were out of the question. I shot this one with my HFG30 and Rode Video Pro from the far side of the venue. It still turned out pretty good. Be patient with it, I finally get the lighting dialed in about 10min into the show. Enjoy!

this was a super fun night. I had a bunch more cameras with me, but the stage was small and there was no place to put them that wouldn’t be in the way, so 2 cameras it is. It still bothers me that I never did a proper 4 or 5 camera shoot of the band. I had tickets to (what became) their last show ever and bailed out because plane tickets were too expensive… sigh
Anyway, I don’t pay much attention to youtube comments other than for entertainment at times, but the audio from the first edit was the source of A LOT of negative comments. I figured that I’d synch up the matrix that my friend Anonymous did. It sounds a bit better. It was a tough night for lighting- the odd halogens made the shoot problematic. It’s still worth watching. And the run of songs from about 18min in, for the next 40min or so is INSANE. Just great song after great song.

First of all, I’d like to thank Agelos for the edit on this one. There was room for only 2 cameras at the show, and the one on the stage was being obstructed constantly by a photographer. Agelos did a masterful job editing the 2 angles together- thanks! Great show, the soundboard sounds great, but the mix really comes together about 10 minutes into the show. Thanks to Laurence for the great mix. Ronnie, I learned the next night that you are not too thrilled about soundboard recordings, so let me know if you are ok with this. Filmed with an HFG30 on monopod, and HFG10 on tripod side stage.

The Trouble Makers were the first band to be introduced by John Waters at the fest, so John gave an extra special intro! Another great set by the band. It was surprisingly full, even though they went on at about 2pm. Filmed with 2x HFG10, 1x HFG30. Edited by agelos- thank you my friend.
