Victim’s Family had a big show/party for their 30th anniversary. It was at Phoenix Theater in Petaluma- I had never been there before. Think of it as a bigger, dirtier Gilman in a theater. Before the show, they took setlist requests over the web. The set is heavy on the old stuff as a result. Cameras were HFG30 (operated by me), HFG10 (tripod on balcony), HF200 (Tripod behind soundboard on the floor). Sound is courtesy of Vince Scalese- it is a SBD/Neumann mic matrix. Mixing/authoring done by Bong and Agelos. Thanks all!

This show was a one off performance that likely will not happen again.. This was a show of fun improvisation and exploration into random beats and the energy, and chaos of a regular Chikading set is there..but it is much more subdued and lounge like…it was a really sweet performance.. I hope you enjoy the recording – Lob -/\-
CHIKADINGISH were
ROBERT KUHLMANN – bass
TONY PASSARELL – keyboards & trumpet
STEPHEN A. ELLIOTT – keyboards

This may be the most stressed out I have ever been at a show. I had permission to video the show, but Blank Club has a strict “no tripod” rule. I got there planning to use these pole mounts instead- and the club had no poles. So I hopped in the car and drove to Fry’s to buy 2 monopods that I duct taped to the walls in the soundboard area and by the stage. I am shocked that it worked so well. During this entire ordeal, my friends were at dinner having fun. Thanks to Mike for bringing me food so I could eat something before they went on. The soundboard recording has some crackle/distortion for the first few songs. It gets a lot better, so hang in there. Thanks to Adam Bomb for the use of his “Amp Cam” video, and as always, thanks to Agelos and Bong for all their hard work mixing this stuff. Thanks!
