The Queers- Cafe Colonial, Sacramento Ca. 3/27/16 Multicam with Schoeps Audio!

This was a tough show to film. The show was sold out, which means there is noplace to put any tripods in the club.. so I taped a monopod to the wall. It looks goofy as hell, but it worked through the Moans set and about halfway through this one… then the tape starts to slip and the wall camera just points at a ceiling fan. SO the rest is just my monopod camera. This was a special show- the cafe holds about 100 people and the show sold out month in advance. Everyone there was SO into the show. I thought I was a fan, but everyone there knew every word to every song. Amazing. Taped with a Canon HFG30 on the monopod, HFG10 taped to the wall, and Jason Ellis’ sweet Schoeps MK4 audio recording was used for the audio. Edited together by Agelos Porf. The O’Mulligans- Cafe Colonial, Sacramento Ca 3/27/16 HD Master w/Rode Videomic Pro Audio

Here’s one that I filmed for today’s On This Date in History. I usually post shows I video shortly afterwards, but sometimes they fall through the cracks and just sit here.
If you have never heard the O’Mulligans, they have/had been around for a long time and are/were a great band. According to their fb page, they were a band for 20 years before changing their name to Chonker in 2023. Same members, new band name, new songs. If that isn’t enough, 2 of the members of this band (Jeff Florence and David Lindsay) are in Freature who have just released a new LP! The O’Mulligans have a few releases out as well, so check them out if you like this.
