Anime Aliens- North Pole House, Davis Ca. 11/17/18 Canon HFG40 Rode

I hoped to catch Anime Aliens’ set at NPH, but I only caught the last 3 minutes. I would have been earlier but there was a guy across the street sitting in a chair in front of his house, looking pissed. So I parked WAY down the street on the other side and hiked in.
Also, I lose focus because my camera lens fogged up pretty much immediately. Still awesome. I like how the bass player is playing the dual role of bass/human body shield for the rest of the band.

Anime Aliens- The Colony, Sacramento Ca. 8/24/18 Canon HFG40 Rode Video Pro Stereo Mic

Here’s another set of killer harmony guitar leads, terrible jokes and the most pavement sounding songs I have heard outside of pavement(that’s a compliment). It’s the Anime Aliens! I was at the Colonial Cafe for the Dearly Divided show, but the timing worked out and I was able to catch this show too.

Anime Aliens- Dimple Records Broadway, Sacramento Ca. 4/21/18 Canon HFG40 Rode VPS Mic

Here was stop 1 of “Dimple RSD Tour 2018”.
I barely made this show. I hit up Dimple Citrus Height & Folsom, then headed out to Broadway for the Anime Aliens show. I walked up right when they were starting. They have added Ronald James Hill (formerly of Charles Albright Band) on 2nd guitar. Charlie and Ron’s dual leads + the songs structure reminded me of Pavement cross with Thin Lizzy!
I really wanted to get a pic of the lady clapping out of time by the garbage can, but wanted to respect privacy. Just imagine her, right over there.

Anime Aliens- Shine, Sacramento Ca. 10/20/17 Canon HFG10 master Live

Since I started the sacramentomusicarchive.com website, I have been trying to post stuff regularly but I didn’t have any semblance of order. If I filmed something new, I’d usually post it, but sometimes not. If Agelos finishes and edit, I’ll post it. Now I have hundreds of videos (not to mention the 10,000 tapes that need to be digitized) that fell through the cracks as I reactively posted stuff. From here on out, I’ll going through all of my tape lists starting with the newest one, and posting everything that has a connection to Sacramento that hasn’t been posted yet.
The first one is Anime Aliens’ set from Shine last October. Cam Evans borrowed a G10 from me and filmed the show for Tube mag(I think). This is the old AA lineup- no roland yet!

Anime Aliens- Press Club, Sacramento 3/30/17 Multicam w/ Rode VPS audio

Since my buddy Agelos is busy getting married (congrats friend), Charlie Passarell has been helping out with some multicam edits. Here is his own band, Anime Aliens from Press Club a couple of months ago. Recommended if you like anime & video game themes, along with guitar jamming. As an aside, I finally figured out how to get a decent video from Press Club. This one sounds great because I put the mic on the right camera. Filmed with 2 Canon HFG30 & 1 Canon HFG10.
