Mr. T Experience MTX- Starry Plough, Berkeley Ca. 12/10/17 LIVE Multicam

Here’s the headlining act from Aaron’s 50th Birthday Bash at the Starry Plough- MTX! It was so fun getting back to the starry plough- I had not been there since the early 2000’s. I think the last time was for a Slobberbone or Rhett Miller solo show. The staff was super nice and the sound person was cool. MTX were great as usual, I always feel so lucky to be able to see them as often as I do. Filmed with 2 Canon HFG30, 1 Canon HFG10, and 1 Gopro Hero5. SBD/Adience matrix courtesy of Jason Ellis, Edit Courtesy of Agelos. Thanks to Aaron for the invite, for the food & drink, and generosity in general. Enjoy!

MTX Mr T Experience- The Lookouting, 924 Gilman Berkeley Ca. 1/7/17 Part 1 Canon HFG30

I have been pretty lucky to see MTX a bunch of times since they have returned. I think this was my 5th time in 2 years… and what a show! They opened the set with “Gilman Street”, which was so great. I was totally exhausted at this point, but that was a total surprise. They brought Joel Reader up to help sing “Dumb Little Band” as well, which was another one that has not been played in a while. Sorry for the less than perfect camera work and the 4 part, cut up video. I was ineffective toward the end. My batteries died and I forgot to turn my mic on to start part 4. What a mess.

Mr. T Experience- Blue Lamp, Sacramento Ca. 10/8/16 Multicam MTX

Man, I have not been posting like I used to. Work and home life have been super busy. I’ll get it going again next month for sure. Here is the MTX show from last October at the Blue Lamp. They did a short tour to celebrate the release of KDA. Great show but lightly attended. At least you can hear Frank’s acoustic set. Filmed with 2 Canon HFG 30 and 1 HFG10 next to the stage

Mr. T Experience- DNA Lounge, San Francisco Ca. 10/7/16 Multicam MTX

This was MTX’ record release show for “King Dork Approximately”, their first album in over 10 years! I walked into the DNA, expecting a large venue with balcony, kind of like the ones I saw on Zoran’s metal videos. Well, I guess you can partition off a *tiny* room upstairs that holds about 100 people… and that is where MTX Played. I had no place to put cameras. I used my G30/Rode monopod, then sloppily tossed a gopro on the soundboard ledge. It did not turn out too bad, and this was the best MTX show I have seen (out of 5) since they have been back.

The Mr. T Experience- Concerts in the Park, Cesar Chavez Park 6/19/15 Multicam with Soundboard Audio

When the concerts in the park schedule was released, I could not believe my eyes. The Mr. T Experience was playing #CIP2015! Filming the show was a challenge- there was a ton of people there so I strapped 2 cameras to the light poles by the stage, and I used my monopod back by the soundboard. Filmed with 1 HFG30 camera, and 2 HFG10’s. Thanks to Agelos for the edit. He said he was not happy with it due to computer limitations but I think it turned out great. The only flaw is that Frank’s guitar is not prominent enough in the soundboard mix. Otherwise good. Enjoy- they were the best I had ever seen them!

MTX Mr. T Experience- Blue Lamp, Sacramento 3/26/15 Multicam with Matrix Audio Part 1

This was MTX’ “return”- a new lineup and first official gig in a few years. I am such a big fan that I was super excited for the show, which was announced at the last minute as a warmup for the mini-tour they did over the weekend. The audio is matrixed from 2 of the camera’s audience mic sources along with the soundboard. Thanks to Jason Ellis for the matrix work- its still a little heavy on vocals but it’s the best we can do. Thanks to Agelos and Bong, for providing the excellent edit job as usual!

This is part 1 only- you can find the rest of the show on Youtube

Dr. Frank- Old Ironsides, Sacramento Ca. 8/24/13 VIDEO

I missed the start of this set because Frank was showing as 2nd on the bill, which means that he would play 2nd to last. I was talking to friends in the bar and he started playing- as the opener! The only time ever that I had a request granted.. and what a request it was. Thanks Frank. I think this is recorded with my HFM30.
