The O’Mulligans- The Colony, Sacramento 11/17/18 Closing Show

I don’t know if there is another band who played the Colony/Colonial Cafe more than The O’Mulligans. They printed up a nice 11×17 poster with thumbnails of a lot of the posters of the shows they played (over 20). It was a nice tribute.
They did my favorite song- Deejay and they did a Green Day cover. You’ll need to watch to see which one it is.

Anime Aliens- The Colony, Sacramento Ca. 8/24/18 Canon HFG40 Rode Video Pro Stereo Mic

Here’s another set of killer harmony guitar leads, terrible jokes and the most pavement sounding songs I have heard outside of pavement(that’s a compliment). It’s the Anime Aliens! I was at the Colonial Cafe for the Dearly Divided show, but the timing worked out and I was able to catch this show too.

Melted Elk- The Colony, Sacramento Ca. 6/23/18 Live

I walked in to the middle of Melted Elk’s set so I only got about 10 minutes.. but it gives you a good idea of what they are all about. Interesting, unique band. No guitar- Bass (w/effects board), Drums, and vocals. Check it out- it sounded about as good as I have heard The Colony sound.
By the way, Charlie Charlie Magikarp Passarell played drums for the band. This show was the first time they had ever played together- they met earlier in the day! That’s impressive.
