When I got to SPF30, there were not many people there. There were probably about 300 people at Metz’ set earlier in the day. By the time Mudhoney took the stage, it was PACKED. I tried to get to the stage and get the band’s attention to do a multicam, but there was no way. After seeing the crowd that was there, I was pretty lucky to do 1 camera. There must have been 3,000 people packed down the street, watching Mudhoney’s set. I still don’t know why they were on the small stage.
Great set.

As for why they were on the small stage… in certain circles they are a bigger deal, but they were on at the same time as Wolf Parade who certainly pull a pretty big crowd themselves. It was a tough decision, but this time I decided to see Wolf Parade myself.
I’m not sure what time you got there, but there were easily more than 300 people when I arrived at about 12:30, and it only got bigger from there. Granted the questionable weather at the start maybe kept some people away until it started clearing throughout the afternoon.
Great video, by the way. Pretty excited to get a new album from them this year.
