Mudhoney- Sub Pop SPF30, Alki Beach, Seattle Wa. 8/11/18 Live Canon HFG40 Rode Video Pro Stereo Mic

When I got to SPF30, there were not many people there. There were probably about 300 people at Metz’ set earlier in the day. By the time Mudhoney took the stage, it was PACKED. I tried to get to the stage and get the band’s attention to do a multicam, but there was no way. After seeing the crowd that was there, I was pretty lucky to do 1 camera. There must have been 3,000 people packed down the street, watching Mudhoney’s set. I still don’t know why they were on the small stage.

Great set.

Metz- Sub Pop SPF30, Alki Beach, Seattle Wa. 8/11/18 Live Canon HFG40 Master Rode VPS Mic

I had good intentions of getting down to the fest right when it started.. but then I lost my monopod and had to uber over to best buy, and then I got to take a 2 hour bus ride with 3 connections to make it to the fest. Ugh. I was happy to make it in time to catch Metz. They brought the energy.

Fastbacks- SPF30, Alki Beach, Seattle Wa. 8/11/18 Multicam w/Soundboard audio!

Man, this one was a close call. I worked to get permission to film and as I was getting ready to set up the 2 gopro cameras, a stage security guy (who saw me spend 5 minutes getting the cameras ready) said “you can’t put those onstage”. I kept my cool and explained my situation, and he asked his boss and I was able to get them onstage at the last second!

Thanks to Derek Purtell for the soundboard synch to my main angle (and blend back to Audience at the end)
