So I was tied up with family stuff and got to the Cafe right when the band started. I think I missed the first song. Sorry to all who I had to cut in front of, to get to my filming spot. It turned out GREAT and the new songs are excellent!!
PS: Tom looks totally evil with that red light on him.
Wow, I have never heard YotF before, but they kicked ass. Very high energy and their lead guitarist shreds. Very entertaining set. They are from oakland.

Here is my (shayne’s) angle of the Battle Hag show. As soon as Year of the Fist finished up at the cafe, I headed over to Old I just in time to see Battle Hag. I had only seen a partial set before, but they sounded great so I have been trying to get out to see them. Great show, and as Jim said, the fog seemed to smooth out the lighting at the club. Good stuff.

Man, the lighting at the VFW hall is TOUGH. There is no lighting on anyone who steps to the front of the stage. So, here you have 4 musicians and a silhouette on vocals. Recorded with Canon HFG40/Rode Video Pro Stereo Mic, 1 HFG10 side stage, and 1 gopro behind the drummer.
