Here’s the only time I got to see the Texas Tornados. Johnny Rodriguez’ post from a couple months back prompted me to pull this out and digitize it. Great show, even if the recording is a bit boomy and distant. I have seen so many great shows at that venue under a few different names- Johnny Cash/Uncle Tupelo when it was called Rhythm Concert Cafe, this show and Wilco in May of 95, and then the 1984/crucifix show in 2014 when it was the Observatory. I even saw a show there in 2020- the TSOL 40th anniversary show. The one thing in common with all of those shows is that security is a huge pain in the ass there. Giant thugs who hate cameras must come with the building or something.
