I pulled this DVD out of the collection for On This Date in History. I digitized this from Jason Ross’ tapes a few years ago. I had not heard of the Simpletones. Here’s what discogs said about them:
“Short lived Punk Rock band from Rosemead, California, formed in 1978 and disbanded in early 1980. During their lifetime they have released just one single on Posh Boy and some compilation features.”
This must have been a reunion show. The guitar player Jay Lansford moved to germany in 1990 and formed the Simpletones A.D. with new musicians for their 30th anniversary, but that was probably in the 2000’s sometime.
