Wayne Vanderkuil’s collection continues to bring the awesome stuff.

Legion of Doom were a metal (discogs calls them punk, but they sound metal to me) band from San Jose, Ca. Members were Chris Dodge (Stikky, Spazz, etc etc), Greg Lynch, Jason McNair, Matt Hubbard, and Mike Allport.

They had 2 releases- one demo tape and 2 songs on the Bay Mud comp, self-released by David Hayes. Wayne told me that they used to cover Iron Maiden’s “The Trooper”, but I don’t hear it here.

This is likely to be a first gen cassette since Wayne and Chris were friends, but it is not confirmed. The master might be sitting with Dan Hague/Distort Oakland. Sounds like a boom box recording- not bad.
