I don’t usually do “on this day” posts since I am not that organized, but I had this one already digitized so why not. This is Saxon’s first show in SF- I was just a bit too young to make this one. I caught them in 1984 on that Saxon/Accept tour, when they were touring Crusader. I would have preferred to see this set…
I think this one was taped by Verne Inhel- sounds like a Sony D3 recording. Very nice!
PS: If you want to hear a bunch of Verne’s recordings, head over to “Lord Pryderi’s ~ Metal History channel” on youtube. Great stuff, but typically only 3 songs from a show. So here is the full set of this one.
