Butterglory- Jabberjaw Cafe, Los Angeles Ca 12/4/94 xfer from DAT Clone Full Concert Live Indie Rock

I tried to find a picture of the exterior of Jabberjaw while it was in operation and it looks like there are zero photos. Here is how it looks now. I think I might know why there are none- that place was in a terrible part of town. So many friends/bands/etc have stories of being robbed and cars being broken into. Legendary club in a terrible part of town.
Here is Kevin Haynes’ recording of Butterglory when they played there in 1994. It’s pretty raw sounding, but that’s how the club was.

Small Factory- Jabberjaw, Los Angeles Ca 11/8/94 xfer from DAT Audience Master Clone Indie Rock

Wow, I checked YT and there is pretty close to no Small Factory uploaded. Not sure if anyone cares but here you go. A nice sounding audience tape from the infamous Jabberjaw club in one of the worst parts of L.A. This place and Hell’s Gate in Hollywood made my rear end pucker whenever I went.

Teenage Fanclub- Jabberjaw, Los Angeles Ca 11/9/91 xfer f/1st gen VHS tape

It’s time for another Patreon voter’s choice, and once again the patrons have great taste. This has to be the smallest venue that TFC has ever played, and at the time that they were poised to “break out”. They played SNL less than 2 months later! What a cool show to be at. This is why Jabberjaw was legendary.

It’s a bit dark in spots and the audio isn’t great but it is still enjoyable.
