Field Day- Cafe Colonial, Sacramento Ca 9/17/22 4K UHD Multicam with Rode/Multitrack Audio Dag Nasty

The posts are a little late today. Let’s do this one first, and then move to the On This Day.
I was at a show at the cafe a couple months back, and I was talking to a couple people about past shows at the cafe. They asked why the CH3 set from this night had posted but not this one. I was flattered anyone even noticed. That prompted me to reach out to Peter Cortner and check in about posting, and he gave his OK. Thank you Peter, and I hope to see Field Day play live again someday.
The first few minutes of this one has audience audio from my Rode mic on the G60, then the sweet multitrack recording hits at the 7:00 mark. Still sounds good at the start, just a little drum heavy.

Field Day- Alex’s Bar, Long Beach Ca. 5/27/22 4K UHD Complete show Dag Nasty

I planned a long weekend in southern cal to take the kids to Six Flags last weekend, so I grabbed a ticket for this FEAR show.. and it was a really nice surprise to have Field Day added to the bill after the show sold out. Field Day is Peter Cortner (Vocals) and Doug Carrion(Bass) along with the loudest drummer I have ever heard and a guitarist who is not Brian Baker(but still alright) doing Dag Nasty’s greatest hits and some new stuff.
They were fantastic. They blew the headliner off the stage, in my opinion. Their 45min set was longer than Fear’s as well. This was a super difficult show to film, as Peter was down on the floor/pit area for pretty much the entire time so I had to bounce between finding him in the pit, focusing the camera, then back to the band, focusing the camera. I am still pretty happy with it. You can tell I was really into the show. I hope you cant hear me singing along.

So many thanks are in order for this one. Thanks to Doug & the band for allowing me to video. Thanks to Sean Hills for bringing the band to town. Thanks to “Anonymous” for taping from the audience and doing the matrix/compression work. Thanks to Agelos(Tromster) for the edit… and finally thanks to the band again for doing some final touch-ups to the audio. Thanks everyone.
Also, my apologies to anyone who was there and had to endure my delirious over-caffeinated ramblings after being up for 36hrs due to a business trip.
