Lob Instagon popped in a week or so ago and sent this over. He asked me to post it on Tony’s birthday and unfortunately, I was not in a position to do so, but here it is! Happy belated heavenly birthday to Tony.
Chikading! are
TONY PASSARELL – keys/ drums
ROBERT KUHLMANN – bass
DEX LOPAZ – drums/keys
Recorded by Lob Instagon with a Zoom H4
Every time that Tony Passarell’s name came up for his turn for a post, I was always too busy to digitize the hundreds of cassettes from his collection. I finally get some of his tapes done this week and I go to process them… they are all 4 track recordings. If anyone has a 4 track to donate to the archive, let me know. I have no way to play these back!
So back to his CD’s. This is another Chikading! set, this one is from KDVS Studio A.
Tony’s son Charlie is working to keep the improv jazz scene going in Sacramento- he has a show with some folks tomorrow (July 2) for Two Rivers Jazz Night. If you like this, there is more where this came from.
