The last post of “locals only” weekend comes from the band Mob Rule. They have been around for quite a while, but play shows rarely. If you like what you hear, they are playing TONIGHT at Old Ironsides with Rebel Holcrons and Cracked Lids. Head on out!
Mob Rule released a 7″ in 2016 and a 10″ EP in 2020. Jordan Wolfe(bass/backing vocals) was in well-known Sacramento band Final Summation.
I had a very hard time keeping focus with the lens I used- it is not light sensitive enough for the Cafe. I am working on buying another F2.8 lens to deal with it. Camera loses focus quite a bit until I figured it out. Also, the schoeps recording was so bass heavy that I opted to use the cheap/generic mic that I used on this camera (the rode was mounted on the wall camera).. and it sounds thin but not all that bad. Go figure.
