This was my first time at Goldfield Roseville. I figured that it was not going to sound very good with the layout being “wide and narrow” along with the brick walls, but it sounded amazingly good in there.
I have been in my “old man punk” bubble for too long. I forgot how a good young punk band can make kids go apesh*t. What a show! I was blown away at the band’s, and the crowd’s energy. I tried to start filming the show from the same spot as I did for the Mean Jeans, but the crowd was just too crazy, even with my using a big support pole as a shield. I had to move back. You can tell how big of a difference it makes to those 4061 mics when you move away from the PA. Still good, but not as powerful.
