All-Jess video weekend.
After Slobberbone disbanded in the early 2000s, Brent, Jess and Tony from the band teamed up with members of Budapest One to form The Drams. They released one (great) album in 2006, did some touring, and that was it. I never understood why they did not achieve more acclaim- they were a more polished Slobberbone. Songs are great. As we all know, the music business isn’t a meritocracy, it is more of a crapshoot.
Here is a video from the only time that they played in Northern California, opening for Will Hoge. I used a really nice DV camera- the type that they used for cable TV back then- but the venue lighting was terrible so you could not see much of anything. Now that we have software to fix things up, you can at least see something.
This was from the time that I was trying to use a Shure VP-88 mic for audio, but Sweetwater wired the custom cable for the mic-to-DAT incorrectly so the recordings never sounded as good as I expected. I discovered this after I took a loss selling the mic. D’oh!

There is not much Drams stuff out there- this might be the only full set on youtube. I couldn’t find any others. Sorry about no footage of Tony- he was buried behind band members.
