Here’s the only other set that I recorded at Heritage fest. I will always regret not recording the Skirts set in between the Knockoffs set and this one- it was the first time I had heard them, they opened with Girlschool’s “c’mon let’s go” and I was an immediate fan for life. I had my kids with me and my 4 year old threw a huge fit while getting water and made me late getting back. I will always remember him laying in the dirt throwing a huge fit, with those foam earplugs sticking out of his ears.
This is another post which features the photography of Jay Spooner, who we unexpectedly lost this past weekend. R.I.P. Jay.
Like the knockoffs set, this one is pretty special. It turns into an all star jam with members of the knockoffs coming up to do vocals, and Wendy from the Skirts giving Jaz Brown a rest by playing a couple songs. Fun set!
Mix started off good, but I think someone adjusted their stage volume (coughROACHcough) so the guitar drops out of the mix. I rebalanced in izotope and boosted the guitar a bit. Now it is a little too loud at the start and a little too low later on.
