Our collections post comes from Robert Eggplant today. I have YEARS worth of stuff to post from Robert’s collection, and I am not even done digitizing everything yet!
Robert taped this one himself and it is ok quality for a 1998 audience recording. The real reason why I picked this one today is to talk about the band’s latest release, Solar Cantata. It was my album of the year last year, which was a total shock since I am not a big folk punk guy (sorry). The album was so well written and poignant that it could not be denied.
BJE are currently ON TOUR for the first time in over 10 years- they are in Chico tomorrow, then up to the northwest for stops in Salem, Portland, Seattle and Astoria. Playing with Dollar Store w/Jeff Ott, and the fabulous Middle Aged Queers!! Get the new album and check them out.. especially if current events are stressing you out.
