I needed to digitize a new batch of cassettes from Dal Basi’s collection this week and since I saw the Pandoras on Saturday, I figured that this would be a good one to put up. The new Pandoras were fun- new(ish) bass player rocked!
This is from back in the Paula Pierce era. Wikipedia says this about this time: “In July 1990, keyboardist Vammen was removed from the Pandoras by Pierce, over Shattuck’s and Kaplan’s objections. Though Pierce toiled over removing Vammen, she felt keyboards weren’t right for band’s newest direction.
Both an Australian tour and a European tour in 1990 were cancelled; prompting Shattuck to leave the band two months later.”

So is that is correct, that means that this is one of the first shows without Melanie, one of the few 1990 shows with Kim and without Melanie, and one of Kim’s last in the original pre-2010’s band.

It’s good that it has historical significance because it doesn’t sound great. It’s got some low end distortion. I tried to EQ as much of it as I could out of the mix, but it’s still there. It’s listenable.
