Well, here’s a cool gift from Eric McIntire to all of you this Tuesday (but feels like Monday). A demo of the band Grinch from 1990.
Grinch was a group made up of east bay punk/thrash stalwarts-
Idon Bryant was in Crimpshrine, Ron Nichols was in Christ on Parade, Sean Smithson was in Sacrilege BC, and Kontos has been in a ton of great bands (Attitude Adjustment to Machine Head and many in between).
All 4 of these tracks are on the first Grinch LP. The cool thing about this demo is that these feature the legendary MURRAY BOWLES on cello for Snakes & Ladders.

Recorded by: Randy Rood
Transfer by: Shayne Stacy
Equipment used: Nakamichi Dragon and M-Audio Audiophile 2496 card

  1. Well this is very cool to hear after what must be 27 years now. I never had a copy of this after and 1994. I still have to cover somewhere. This this sounds really cool and in ways I like it better then the recording on The Blacking Factory actually. We are playing a bit more relaxed and with more subtle energy. This really brings back memories. And hearing the parts we ended up cutting from the album (the middle of sleepwalking) is really special. Thanks for posting this. I hope people enjoy it.
