For today’s On this Date in History, let’s revisit the first time I ever traveled for a concert (meaning, stayed overnight). I went with the band to Fresno for this show at Old Town Saloon. I remember being stunned at the pace of life in Fresno at the time- it was like everyone was moving in slow motion. The venue was large and it was not even close to being full.

This 8mm capture was done with the old setup with no enhancements- you can really see how grainy the old Aiwa could be with this one. The old stock microphone was garbage as well, and this is probably the worst sounding video ever shot with that setup. No other audio exists for this show either. Ugh. Still a good candidate for a recapture, denoise and some type of audio repair.

Camerawork is pretty shaky until I get on stage.
