This one is from Wayne Vanderkuil’s collection and like yesterday’s audio post, this is one that I video’d almost 30 years ago and have never heard of a board tape existing. We’ll need to synch it up because the audio on my video is terrible.
This board mix was challenging. This was a hard mix, with guitar in the right channel and bass in left. The bass was way too high in the mix to start. I played with the left/right levels to get a decent guitar/bass balance, then panned the channels together.. then the drums were too high in the mix. I izotope’d it and I kinda like it now. The only problem is the guitar phasing in and out since it was so low in the initial mix.
