As discussed yesterday, here is the Final Conflict set from Gilman. This one looks a little darker than the Half Off, it just might be due to Ron wearing a black shirt making it seem that way.
here’s what I wrote yesterday about this show:
Wayne Vanderkuil, our long-time friend and contributor to the archive, sent a box over with a few VHS tapes earlier this week. One of them had this show- I have had this on VHS since the late 80s, but this copy is way cleaner. We think it is off of a 1st gen copy, but not 100% sure so we’ll call it “low gen” for now.
I am surprised that I don’t have the soundboard tapes from this show. It seemed that every Gilman show was taped back then… (edit- there are board tapes in Wayne’s collection, so we’ll probably repost this once we get to those tapes… and if the mix is decent)
This video was super dark- I think it was filmed with one of those external cameras cabled into a portable VCR- when people move, they look see through. EARLY home video tech. I was able to improve it quite a bit with Adobe and Neat Video. Thanks Wayne!
