Zero Boys- Press Club, Sacramento Ca 5/12/14 Canon HFG10 & Rode Video Pro Stereo Mic

Here’s that time when The Zero Boys came to our town and only about 50 people showed up. I am sure glad I did, because they were amazing. The guitarist absolutely shreds. This was supposed to be a multicam, but the second camera was on a stage tripod and the vibration is so bad that we could not use it. The first 45min is the G10 angle (sorry for the funky angle- no good place to film at press), second is the super shaky Canon HFM30 angle. Enjoy.

Zero Boys- Vogue, Indianapolis In 1/30/85 xfer from low gen VHS tape enhanced Midwest Punk Hardcore

Posting this one early since I am still working on On This Date, and I know people will be heading out to some events today. Be safe and peaceful everyone.

This one is from Tony Philputt’s collection that I picked up from Phil Go a month or so back. Tony either video’d some early midwest shows himself, or I think he got them from the filmer. A lot of unbelievable stuff is in his collection, but they were all commingled with hundreds of other tapes. In fact, there were 24 banker’s boxes full of VHS tapes to go through. It was quite the treasure hunt! It took hours of digging to find Phil’s tapes that he wanted along with tapes from Tony that I think are like this one.

So on to the goods. Man, is this one awesome. There are some serious A/V synch issues but it’s still worth the watch. Quick reminder that you can volunteer at the Sacramento Music Archive nonprofit and work from home and help me fix up things like A/V synch issues- $40/hr of volunteer time in a donation receipt to you. C’mon, what are you waiting for?

This one has out of synch distorted audience audio, then no audio, then more out of synch distorted audience audio, then soundboard audio, then distorted audience audio. All within 10 minutes!

Is that guy at the very end the same guy as the stoned guy meme? The resemblance is uncanny!

There is also a headlining set that I will be posting next month.
Thanks Phil and thanks Tony!
