Yankee Brutal- Press Club, Sacramento Ca. 9/20/18 Canon HFG40 Rode Video Pro Stereo Mic

Here is my single camera version of Yankee Brutal at Press Club. This is mostly focused on Wesley because this is supposed to be a 4 camera multicam, but 2 of the angles did not turn out so well.
Regardless, Yankee Brutal is probably the best fast pop-punk band in town (think pennywise/bad religion fast melodic punk). They don’t play every week, so if you see them on a bill, go see them. They are damned good and the new songs are next level.

Yankee Brutal- Press Club, Sacramento 9/20/18 Multicam with rode audio Sacramento Punk

Here’s one of our local bands who I think is really good, but never seems to get much recognition here. They rarely played shows, back when we actually had them.
This was supposed to be a 4 camera, with a gopro on AJ… but there was a huge purple light shining right in the camera that I could not fix. The drum gopro is pretty funny, too. Their drummer plays so hard, that the gopro moved about 90 degrees as he played through the set due to the vibration. It’s funny to watch him gradually disappear from the frame. Mental note- when the drummer comes with industrial ear muffs on his head, you know it’s gonna be LOUD. haha.

Yankee Brutal- Blue Lamp, Sacramento Ca. 8/30/17 Canon HFG30 Rode Video Pro Stereo Mic

I had not seen Yankee Brutal before, but AJ – sound engineer at the blue lamp & guitar/vocal in the band- invited me to film the show. I was pleasantly surprised- they play a nice blend of crossover thrash and punk. They BROUGHT the energy- their energy on stage and in their music won some people over. The crowd went from disinterested, to listening, to headbanging. Nice job.
