Here’s a bonus post for you today. Another audio post from an Eggplant tape with the expected live show is coming later.
In order to afford all of these 4K cameras and high-end vintage cassette decks and VCRs for this hobby, I sell CD’s, Cassettes and LP’s as a side hustle. A few years back, I bought up a few thousand of The Audio Nerd’s CDs when they closed down The Annex. I have not had time or space to dig into these, but I finally did a box last night… and I found this absolute gem of a CD.
This has a bunch of the top Sacramento rock bands(ca. 2001) doing boy band covers. It’s exactly as cringy/awesome as you’d expect. I am listening the Magnolia Thunderfinger track, and of course they make it sound like them. Amazing.

So the kids were demanding Christmas music in the car yesterday, so I put this on and made it about halfway through the second song before a bleeped out F word happened and I had to change it… but it made me wonder if this was on youtube yet.
