Vicious Rumours- Ruthie’s Inn, Berkeley Ca 3/30/84 xfer from master audio cassette Heavy Power Metal

Well shoot. I was going to post a tape from Arica Pelino’s collection today, but I just found that Eggplant had posted the tape a few years back. There goes that plan. Let’s do another Tour Manager Doug tape instead.
Here is a Vicious Rumours set from a show they played with Exodus back before their debut album. It sounds pretty nice for the time- little to no (unwanted) distortion at all. Thanks Doug!

Vicious Rumors- Old Waldorf, San Francisco Ca 7/23/82 xfer from 1st gen cassette

It’s Tour Manager Doug Tuesday! Well, this is a tape that comes from his collection- we recently figured out that this must be a 1st gen cassette, as show on Side A of this tape took place after the one on side B. It also did not sound like a Doug tape- his are usually very clear but lacking in bass, which makes it great for EQ’ing. I checked with him and sure enough, it’s a first gen.
But enough nerd talk- here is a rare EARLY Vicious Rumors set- 3 years before the release of their first album!
They do “In Fire” off of their 2 song demo from 1982 and a few from their 1985 debut LP.. even one that made it onto the 1987 release. Some were never released, apparently. Sounds pretty good!
