7 Seconds- The Complex, Salt Lake City UT 3/17/22 Complete show FIRST SHOW in 6 years Live Stream

It’s time for the Voter’s choice for the week. Man, am I thankful for Kevin’s live streams of the 7 seconds shows. I was supposed to be at this run of shows but work got in the way and I had to cancel my plans. I finally got to see the Texas tour, which was probably a better idea in hindsight.

I am not sure if Facebook archives these, but I screen recorded a bunch of this first run, starting with this one- their first show with Sammy on drums and first show back in about 6 years. Quality is a typical stage shot show- video is great, audio is lacking. Now you see why I am out in the audience doing my thing, haha.

Fastbacks-Delta Center, Salt Lake City UT 11/2/95 xfer f/ DAT Clone Soundboard FM Monkeywrench Radio

And here is the next night of the Fastbacks’ 2 night run at the Delta Center, opening for Pearl Jam. The broadcast cuts in mid-song and is 5 minutes shorter than the previous night’s recording, so this might be missing more than just that half song… but it is the full broadcast.
Kurt plays a different song than on setlist at about the 5min mark.

Fastbacks- Delta Center, Salt Lake City, UT 11/1/95 xfer from Soundboard/FM DAT Clone Monkeywrench

I recently transferred a couple of the 2,000+ DATS over here for my friend Derek Purtell. He helped with synching audio for that Scowl video, so I sent him some Fastbacks shows in return.
You might wonder how we got a board recording of this show, opening for Pearl Jam in a basketball arena. Pearl Jam used to broadcast the sets via a low power FM signal, live, at the venue. Monkeywrench Radio was the name of the pirate radio station they took along to broadcast the shows on the 1995 tour. Of course, enterprising tapers then brought an FM receiver to tape the sets.
I can’t remember exactly where I got these- I think that I got a clone of the master from one of the big PJ fans- Kurt Vogel or someone. Thanks!
