Ultraman- Transit Union Hall, St. Louis Mo 5/1/89 xfer from VHSC Master Tape

For today’s On This Date in History, I pulled a DVD out from Jim Utz’ collection. Jim and Mark Deniszczuk (drummer from Ulatraman) both sent me their VHS-C tapes at different times, taped with the same camera!

I was surprised that this one wasn’t online yet- I figured that someone (like the great oldschoolstl channel) would have put this up already.

Even though it looks a bit cloudy/fuzzy, this is really off the master. I did it with my older (but still good) transfer rig, and those old VHS-C cameras were kinda notorious for the fuzzy picture. Back in the 80s, you had to make a choice- fuzzy VHS-C, grainy/snowy 8mm, or nice quality VHS but that meant hauling around a 10lb giant beast on your shoulder. Haha.

Ultraman- Demo 1987 xfer from low gen audio tape

While I was digitizing the C.O.C. stuff, there was some demos on the other side of that Sports Palace show that were not posted, and were too cool not to post. Here is St. Louis’ Ultraman with their 1987 demo. Now you don’t need to pay $45 on discogs to hear it, if you can find it at all!

Tracklist:

A1 Mr Yuk
A2 The Ones
A3 Eggboy
A4 Rector Breath
A5 Yipes
A6 The Game

Shayne used the Nak Dragon and M-Audio Audiophile 2496 card, as usual.
