I’ve started to get into a rhythm of posting one audio per day during the week, and 1 video on the weekend days. That’s about all the work I can handle at this point.
Here is a short set by The Queers from Jason Ross’ collection. Jason was the punk tape trading king of the midwest, so this has got to be pretty low gen- probably 1st gen.
Sounds like a pro walkman job- maybe a D3 or D6. Decent recordings of the band from this long ago are scarce.

Continuing the rotation from the collections I am digitizing over here. Here is another one from Jason Ross’ collection. More early WFMU goodness.
Jason got this from a guy named Matt who taped this off the radio in NJ. Matt didn’t trade a whole lot so this one might be uncirculated. It sounds pretty damned good.
Oh, and for the lookout records group- my old fb account was hacked and I do not have access to it currently. This is another account I used to keep the daily posts going, please friend me here if you’d like.

Here’s a late one from Jason Ross’ collection. I pulled another few tapes to digitize and had no idea that this was a board tape until I ran it. Drums and vocals were pretty maxed out on this one so I did my best to put some guitars in there. The guitar is a bit too loud for the first few minutes and then the mix settles in.
Kinda wild that they have been at it for 40 years.
Oh, and the person in this image doesn’t have anything to do with the Queers. It was one of the only old photos I could find of the club.
